  • Allen Friedland, M.D., FACP, FAAP, recipient of 2005 Walter J. McDonald Award for Young Physicians from the American College of Physicians. Established by the ACP Board of Regents in January 2003, this award recognizes outstanding achievement by a physician under 40 years of age in the are as of leadership; academics, including publishing, teaching and mentoring; and/or volunteerism.

National Initiatives

  • Our program director is involved in all three med-peds organization executive committees. He is also in charge of recruitment committee for the directors association and travels to all regional and national med-peds meetings. He develops the national speaking programs for the med-peds section of AAP. He created and maintains NMPRA’s speaker’s kit, match data and osteopathic data.
  • Jennifer LeComte is involved in the Medical Home AAP Initiative as the med-peds liaison.
